Last Thursday 27th March, for the 4th year running, a flock of brides to be descended on Bluebird armed with future mothers and fathers of the bride, bridesmaids, friends – all joining an array of first class wedding specialists showcasing their breathtaking creations.
The Bluebird Dining Rooms were transformed into a bridal haven for the evening with the leading wedding dresses by Sassi Holford which stood centre stage in the Gallery room.
Ladies tried on headpieces and bridal accessories from Hermione Harbutt and fabulous furs ideal for the winter wedding, from Blanche in the Brambles who was launching her collection in the heart of Chelsea!
The Classic Car Club parked 2 of their vintage cars on the courtyard for guests to admire wondering in and out of the showcase … As well as drawing attention to Bluebird’s restaurant, bar and cafe evening guests.
Once inside, two of the Incognito artists serenaded the party with classical hits and the very apt ‘I love you Baby….’!
For a spot of pre-big day pampering, Perfect 10 were on hand for mini mani’s, while Sarah Jane O Wai gave make up tutorials and Guild Hairdressing showed the ladies how to create the perfect ‘do’!Make up done- it was time to look at the pretty lingerie courtesy of Petits Bisous, our lingerie boutique neighbour, based on the Kings Road. They showcased designs on their very beautiful live model- a nice surprise for the gentleman guests visiting the showcase we thought …
Whilst admiring lovely lingerie models as well as everything else, it was time to dig into Head Chef Matt Robinson’s irresistible Lobster Rolls!
Lobster Roll and Glass of Champagne in hand, guests were shown round Bluebird’s private rooms with the Beaufort Room dressed in an exquisite table set up to give guests creative ideas how they could have their wedding or celebration at Bluebird.
The Bluebird Room was dressed for a more classic dining set up with round tables and stunning centre pieces by the florist Hannah Martin
After all that it was a chance to jump into Say Fromage’s photo booth before heading into the restaurant for dinner as the showcase drew to a very successful end!
