D&D London‘s looking blooming marvellous this May & June!
We’re celebrating all things fantastically floral this Spring as we turn Bluebird Chelsea into our very own Wonderland of curiouser and curiouser cocktails and stunning Spring dishes.
Head to our Bar to try out the wondrous Wonderland-inspired cocktails, created by our innovative Bar Manager Egzon and his skilled team. Fall down the ‘Rabbit Hole‘ and indulge in a magical mix of Maker’s Mark bourbon, cherry liqueur, earl grey apple liqueur, lemon curd shaken with fresh cherry and lime, served with homemade peanut ice cream on the side. Guaranteed to intrigue and surprise!
Perhaps you’re feeling like the ‘Queen of Hearts‘ and fancy a fresh and fruity old English gin-based treat with rose vermouth, lemon juice, fresh blackberry, cucumber and rosemary, served with a chocolate cup with containing homemade ice tea, the side.
Once you’ve tried those we suggest a ‘Jabberwocky’s Juice‘, followed by a ‘Kiss and Tell‘…
Remember they’re all limited edition, so you simply must try them all!
This season we’re also celebrating the arrival of our new Executive Head Chef James Durrant and our brand new a la Carte menu in our Restaurant! Using the freshest, seasonal ingredients James has brought to the table delights such as seared tuna, bonito cream, daikon, cucumber, ponzu dressing; roasted guinea fowl, served with Jersey Royals, onion emulsion, morels and wild garlic and the buttermilk bavarois, rhubarb jelly, rhubarb puree, gingerbread sorbet. We’re hungry just reading about it! Our set menus will also be given a Springtime spruce-up so you can pop into the Restaurant to enjoy two courses and wine for £20, or three courses with wine for £25.
We’re sure you’ve seen that we always have the most beautiful, eye-catching floral displays across Bluebird Chelsea. Wondered who designs and creates these spectacular sights? None other than our fabulous florists McQueen’s who we’re teaming up with this May to bring you an incredibly unique and exclusive event. You’re invited to join us for the ‘Bluebird in Bloom’ Wine Dinner, in partnership with McQueen’s Florists and the Rothschild Collection. We’re giving you the opportunity to have a Masterclass with expert and founder of McQueen’s Kally Ellis who will guide through creating your very own floral masterpiece (which you’ll get to take home!) Guests will then enjoy five-course tasting menu, created and presented by James himself and paired with stunning Wines from the Rothschild Wine Collection. It’s an event not to be missed!
And if that wasn’t enough, we’ve also got fun in store for the kiddies, big and small! Bring little ones along to the Food Store on Thursday 19th May for a Wonderland Tea Party and Cupcake decorating workshop. Children 6-11 are invited to join us on Saturday 7th May for a Theatre Workshop with Chickenshed where they’ll rehearse scenes from Alice in Wonderland, the put on an extra special performance for parents later in the afternoon!
